“My name is Taylor. My mommy and daddy gave me this name because they discovered soon after adopting me that my tail has a life of its own!”

Age:

“I’m about 2 years old. I’m not 100% certain about my age because I was adopted from a local animal shelter.”

How you came into your parents lives (adoption/found, etc):

“I was adopted at The San Jose Animal Care Center about a month after my mommy’s and daddy’s first dog (and my big brother), Hopper, passed away at only 9 months of age. My parents were so sad and still grieving for Hopper when they visited the shelter and met me, but they knew that giving another dog a forever home is what Hopper would have wanted.”

Why do you blog?

“My mommy blogs about me and about life as a dog parent because she just loves to write, and she constantly finds inspiration throughout the dog parenting community to write informatively and/or narratively.”

What is your favorite post?

“My favorite posts are the ones that are solely about me, of course! 😉 For example, my mommy wrote a post a while ago about an awesome dance that I do where I lay down, flip onto my back, and wiggle from side to side. Mommy calls it my “back wiggle dance”! When she first observed this, she was so perplexed that she wrote a post about it, asking her fellow bloggers ‘Do ALL Dogs Do This?’ “.

What post do you like the least?

“I would not say that I like this post the least, but the one that makes me sad the most is the post my mommy wrote about Taiwanese photographer Yun-Fei Tou and the enormous project he completed as a form of protest against his government’s treatment of Taiwan’s forgotten shelter animals. My mommy wrote this post as a way to thank Yun-Fei Tou for bringing the horrible plight his country’s animal population to the world’s attention. Yun-Fei Tou’s work lit the animal advocate spark within my mommy that still exists to this day!”

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

“I love meeting new friends in the blogoshere! And mommy loves learning great dog parenting tips from her fellow bloggers!”

What do you dislike about blogging?

“Sometimes mommy spends too much time on the computer, which cuts into our playtime, especially our daily soccer games!”

Sneak peek of future posts?

“My mommy hopes to establish a small non-profit in Hopper’s name to help sick animals get the funds they need for their veterinary care. I will also be mommy’s sidekick as she delves into some new life adventures, such as college and obtaining more writing gigs.”

“Wait…that means mommy will be spending even MORE time in front of the computer!! Mommy and I need to have a discussion!”

What blogs to you read that you would like to share?

“There are a ton of blogs that my mommy reads! Her 20+ favorites are listed at the bottom of her blog.”

What are your thoughts on spaying/neutering?

“I am a big supporter of spaying/neutering!! During my stay at The San Jose Animal Care Center, I was surrounded by so many animals!! It was pretty overwhelming for the 4-month-old me! Mommy told me once that when she walked throughout the shelter with Daddy, she was so heartbroken by what my fellow sheltermates were going through! She wanted to take all of them home! Spaying/neutering is the best way to avoid an overload of unwanted pets!”

Anything else you want to add about you?

“I am a fun-loving Scottish Terrier/Dachshund that just wants to enjoy life to its absolute fullest! Hop onto mommy’s blog for great doggy information as well as stories that will put a smile on your face! I am an only child, so I want to have as many blog buddies as I can possibly handle! 🙂
